Give Blood
You have the power to save three lives today!

- Margaret Shirk, Douglas County Chapter volunteer
since 1966, checks on the progress of long-time blood donor, Patty Rundquist, during the donation process.
The Douglas County Chapter sponsors five blood drives in our community each year. Please call our offices at 785-843-3550 for more information on our next blood drive. Call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543) or go to www.givelife.org to make a lifesaving appointment to donate blood. Please take time to donate blood the next time the opportunity arises — your single donation can save three lives.
Each day the Central Plains Region Blood Services of the American Red Cross, headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, needs about 500 blood donations to help hospital patients throughout Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. Our region serves more than 100 hospitals and about 2 million residents. American Red Cross supplies the majority of these hospitals with their blood needs. The Douglas County community is proud to be a strong contributor in the region.
